In short: Eight hours on a private classic yacht from Marina do Funchal, west towards Cabo Girão and the cliffs beyond or east along the wilder coast. Time to anchor, swim and snorkel, and a light lunch with Madeira wines on board.
A full day is the way to see more of Madeira’s coast than a short trip allows. Depending on the wind, Spica sails west past Câmara de Lobos and Cabo Girão towards the villages beyond, or east along the wilder side of the island. Either way there is time to stop.
The captain anchors in quiet bays where you can swim and snorkel, and lunch is served on board with wines from the island. In the afternoon the yacht heads back to Funchal.
The yacht is a classic 43-foot ketch with two suites, a lounge and a deck made for long meals, and it is yours for the day, for up to 10 guests. Book online and pay directly, or send a message if you want to plan the route first.
It depends on the wind and the sea on the day, and on what you want to see: west towards Cabo Girão and beyond, or east along the coast. The captain proposes the route when you come aboard.
Yes, a light lunch with Madeira wines, served on board or at anchor. For a full menu cooked on board, look at the charter with a chef.
A swimming ladder, snorkelling equipment and a hot and cold shower on deck. The captain chooses sheltered bays to anchor when the sea allows.
Online booking closes 48 hours before departure. For a later date request, send us a message on WhatsApp.
Up to 10 guests. Every charter is private: the yacht is yours for the trip, whether you are two or ten.
From Marina do Funchal, in the centre of Funchal. We confirm the exact pontoon and the meeting time when you book.
Comfortable clothes and shoes, swimwear and a towel if you want to swim, sun protection, and a light jacket for the return. Drinks and snacks are on board.
The captain decides on the day, with your safety first. If the sea does not allow the trip, we offer you another date or a refund.
Dolphins are not the aim of our trips. Spica sails for the coast, the swimming stops and the time on deck; it is not a dolphin or whale watching tour.
